DIY: Creating Unique Photo Holders With Clay

Every picture tells a story, but the way you display them also adds up to that narrative. So why not spruce up your photo display with some pizzazz with these unique DIY photo holders made from clay! Materials You’ll Need:

Instructions:

Step 1: Prep Your Clay
Start by choosing the colors of clay you would like to use. Remember that contrasting colors often make the most striking marble effect. Warm up the clay by molding it with your hands.

Step 2: Marbling Your Clay
For the marbling effect, flatten your clay pieces into thin sheets using a rolling pin. Layer the sheets on top of each other and press them together gently. Roll this multi-layered slab into a log, then twist and turn it to create a marbled pattern.

Step 3: Shape Your Photo Holders
After you’ve achieved your desired marble effect, flatten the log using a rolling pin. Here’s where you can let your creativity shine – cut your photo holder into any shape you want. Circle, square, or heart? Your pick! Then, create a tiny hole in the top for the wire to slip through later.

Step 4: Bake Your Creations
Follow the instructions on your clay packaging to bake your creations. Generally, it would take about 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 275 degrees F. But make sure to keep an eye on it; you don’t want it to burn.

Step 5: Add Photo Holder Wire
When the clay has cooled down, take the wire and make a spiral on one end (this will hold the picture) and insert the other end into the hole you made earlier. Shape the wire so that it stands up, and voila!

Step 6: Display Your Photos
